Meeting the Ancient Qín master Wang Fei in Tan Feng Yang
The Haikou Guqin (ancient Qin) Art Festival will be held on April 23 at the Haikou Tan Feng Yang Provincial Wetland Park in Haikou. This event is open to the public. Summer is slow and the sound of the qin is melodious. Guqin master Wang Fei invites you to the Guqin Night together.
Wang Fei, studied under the Guqin master Professor Li Xiangting since 1985, and won the first prize in instrumental performance at the First College Student Art Festival in 1989. She has held concerts multiple times in countries such as China, the United States, Japan, and India. She not only teaches Guqin and Chinese music at several prestigious American universities such as Stanford, Berkeley, and Los Angeles, but has also received recognition and awards from the National Cultural Foundation of the United States, the State Department of the United States, the Library of Congress, and the National Center for Folk Arts. Her "Flowing Water" music was included in the 2003 American Music and Geography textbook as a representative of Chinese music. Wang Fei also collaborates with many famous American musicians and bands in performances. In 1993, the Mayor of Baltimore in the United States awarded Wang Fei the title of "Baltimore Honorary Citizen" for her contributions to cultural exchange between China and the United States.
