Haikou Jiangdong New Area has initiated the management and restoration of the water system, spanning about 2.1 kilometers, in Daomeng River Wetland Park. It is one of the first green infrastructure projects in the area, and the river has been able to revive its former beauty through ecological restoration efforts.
