If you’re a thrill seeker, with a passion for water, then Haikou won't disappoint! Around 20 minutes outside the city, you will find the Splash City Haikou Water Park, at the Mission Hills resort. Surrounded by lush vegetation and blessed by the tropical climate, the park opened in 2018, joining a network already present in destinations like Sydney, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Hawaii. In China, the joint venture of Mission Hills Group, Guangxi Investment Group and Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Australia's largest theme park operator, offers visitors the promise - always fulfilled - of an unforgettable experience, full of action and adrenaline moments. Perfect to be enjoyed with family or with groups of friends.
The water park covers 50 thousand square metres, with all sorts of slides and pools on offer. If you fancy getting your adrenaline pumping, head for the six-storey-high, 360-degree AquaLoop, called “360Rush” and the 30-metre-high “Vortex” for rides of your life.
Other attractions include the “Half Pipe,” which takes three to six riders up a near vertical wall before letting them drop into a splash pool; the “Surf Rider;” and a three-million-litre wave pool, called “Wild Water Bay,” where you can enjoy a pool party like no other, with a state-of-the-art digital screen providing the perfect backdrop for visiting DJs.
For younger visitors, there’s an exclusive children’s area – Splash City Junior – where they can have a splashing good time with their family or friends.
They can also have fun in the Splash House zone, offering exciting rides which will keep even the most adventure-seeking children happy for the whole day.
Safety is paramount at the park, where a team of lifeguards, specially trained, keep a watch over all the water activities. Don’t forget to pack your swim wear to enjoy this amazing Haikou water attraction.
Haikou's Splash City is a perfect place for a family day-out. With so much to experience, you need to plan your adventure well so that you don’t miss out on any of the action. Tickets can be purchased in advance, which means you can jump the queues when you arrive. If you prefer, you can also buy family passes and seasonal tickets.
Don’t worry about food and drink. The park has lots of restaurants and bars, offering lots of different snacks, meals and drinks to cool you off.
Getting to the park is easy: just head for the Ritz Carlton Haikou and Renaissance Haikou hotels, part of Mission Hills resort.
