Imagine getting lost in a world of plants. Well, that’s exactly what you can do at Haikou’s Jidu Plant Maze! Perfect for a family trip, on a long sunny day, the 10,000-square-metre wonderland will even bring the big kid out in adults.
Created for tourists of all ages, the maze boasts three entrances for different adventures. Gate 1 invites parents and their children to discover a new world together, with a walk of some 20 minutes.
With a higher difficulty level, Gate 2 is made for adults, with it taking around 40 minutes to find your way out.
And Gate 3 is the pathway to a group challenge, within a team. It’s the most difficult route of all. How long will it take you to find your way out? There’s always the option to leave at any time, but just heading back to the start point.
As you get lost in the maze, you’ll be able to enjoy the fresh smells of countless dianthus, gypsophila and Gesang flowers, among others. Just make sure you never forget the golden rule: do not pick the flowers!

Travel Tips
The best time to visit Haikou’s Jidu Plant Maze is during Spring, when the flowers are blooming. Make sure you have some spare time to visit the whole park, without rushing, as a normal visit will take around two to three hours.
The variety of flowers is so big you will want to spend some time admiring them and learning all about them.
There are no restaurants at this attraction, but you will find some places where you can pick up some refreshments to keep you going.
