On April 12th, the "Overseas Guest Payment Service Experience Zone" was officially launched, led by the Hainan Branch of the People's Bank of China, with the participation of Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, and Postal Savings Bank within its jurisdiction.

As an important transportation hub in Hainan Province, Haikou Meilan International airports are the first stop for many foreign nationals entering Hainan. The Overseas Guest Payment Service Experience Area is located at the prominent exit point of the international flight at Terminal T2 of Haikou Meilan International Airport. It provides a one-stop comprehensive payment service experience for overseas guests arriving in Hainan at the first time. In the experience area, overseas visitors to Hainan can obtain bilingual versions of the "Payment Service Manual for Overseas Visitors to Hainan", "Digital RMB Payment Guide" and other promotional brochures, scan the QR code on the Alipay Exhibition Board (i.e. "Damei Hainan Payment Worry Free" board), consult on-site service personnel, and other ways to learn about payment methods in Hainan. The experience area is also equipped with three ATM machines that can be used for withdrawal with foreign cards. Overseas travelers to Hainan can use various types of foreign bank cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and Diners Club International to make self-service withdrawals, effectively meeting the cash needs of overseas travelers to Hainan.
