An increasing trend worldwide, rural tourism is also growing in popularity in Haikou, attracting big crowds and incredible new projects.
As part of this development, in 2013 the Haikou Rural Tourism Association was born. With clearly defined goals, the social organisation has been exploring potential future development.
At the same time, the association has been helping to set up personnel training teams for different administrative positions in rural tourism, in line with international standards. Thanks to these kinds of efforts, Haikou has seen a growing number of overseas groups of visitors attracted by the high quality of rural tourism.
